What is VIPS?
Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) is a program that allows parents, guardians, and community members to donate their time, resources, and talents to support HISD’s mission of increasing student achievement. VIPS volunteers contribute in many ways—including helping in classrooms and the front office, assisting with enrichment programs and school events, mentoring and tutoring, and more.
All Volunteers Must Be VIPS Approved
Before volunteering at any HISD campus (even just once), you must register through HISD’s VIPS program and pass a background check. Register Here.
